About the group:
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has an active Christian fellowship group, with a weekly morning prayer and a weekly Bible study. Here’s how God has opened up doors in their workplace:
Small Beginnings
Back in 2018, the Lord prompted an employee to start a prayer group at work. This woman knew of one other Christian and asked him to join her to pray for their business units, co-workers, supervisors, and general affairs. It was just the two of them for a while, praying in a conference room for 30 minutes in the mornings. Within a year, God added more co-workers to the prayer group and 6 of them were gathering regularly.
They saw God's hand move in the work environment, dismantling tension, strife and division, and allowing His peace to rest upon their building. The group began to incorporate lunch-time prayer walks around the building.
Transition and Growth
The leader submited the prayer group and DLA Bible Study to the monthly all-employee HQC Bulletin email, which provides a listing of available services for employees. At first, there was resistance including the information. Now, the Bible Study and prayer group information is permanently in the blast that goes .out to the various agencies within the HQ building. This has raised awareness among employees who were looking for a Christian group and ballooned their list to around 70 people. They have 10 faithful prayer warriors who join together every Wednesday and many others who join the different groups, as they can.
God’s Faithfulness
The team keeps a running list of prayer requests, where individuals can pray and agree with the requests in their own personal time. They have seen many prayers answered off this list.
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
